DIY Frozen Snowflake Hair Clips

Frozen Hair Clips

For Ella’s sixth birthday party this year, she of course insisted on having a Frozen theme!  Just another opportunity to wear her Halloween costume, so sure, why not?  Since I booked her party at a ballet studio, I wanted some quick and easy crafts that I could prep and bring with us.

Materials

What you’ll need:

  • Snowflake hole punch
  • Hair clips
  • Glue dots (1/2″)
  • Jewels or buttons
  • Purple and blue cardstock paper

Punch Snowflakes

1.  First, punch out a bunch of snowflakes out from the cardstock.  I chose to use purple, light blue, and teal blue colored cardstock.

Glue Dot

2.  I decided to use 1/2″ glue dots instead of glue because they were easy and fast to use.  They are also super sticky, so everything will stick together nicely.  Just make sure that the kids don’t try to apply them with their fingers.  Use the glue dots to adhere the paper snowflakes to the hair clips and layer on jewels.

Frozen Hair Clips Finished

3.  Here are some of the different types of hair clips we created after layering the buttons and jewels on the snowflakes!  Quick, super easy, and the girls were in love.  They all wore their new Frozen snowflake hair clips home, along with some teal fleece no-sew scarves that the girls hand-cut as well!
