Here is another kid’s jewelry DIY that Ella and I created together. This one is a little more advanced than the Colorful Straw + Bead Necklace that I posted previously. But the materials are still simple and easily accessible! Ella loved being able to choose her own colors for the embroidery thread and skipped around the house jingling happily afterward.
Here’s what you need:
- Embroidery floss
- Silver necklace
- Jump rings
- Jewelry plier
- Fork (optional)
1. First, make the little tassels out of the embroidery thread. Use a fork or your fingers to wrap the embroidery floss around several times before tying the top and cutting the ends.
2. Attach the bell as the centerpiece of your necklace using a jump ring to loop onto the chain. Or, attach a cluster of bells!
3. Attach the tassels along the necklace using jump rings to loop onto the chain.
