DIY: Lego Gummy Cupcake Toppers

DIY Lego Gummy Cupcake Toppers

These fun gummy cupcake toppers were so fun to make for Lucas’ 7th birthday party!  The kids ate the berry flavored gummies and had a blast biting off the heads of their Lego men.

Gummy Lego Man Materials

Here’s what you need:

  • Jello (one 3 oz bag)
  • Gelatine (two 1/4 oz packages)
  • Water
  • Syringe
  • Silicone Lego mold (I bought mine on Amazon.  Here is a link for both molds that I used for the party)

Place 1/3 cup water in a small sauce pan. Sprinkle the Jello and gelatine over the water. Let sit 5 – 10 minutes.  Place the pan over medium heat and stir until the gelatine is dissolved, about 2-5 minutes.  After everything has dissolved, remove the pan from the heat.  Use a syringe to fill the molds and let it cool for 20 minutes.  The silicone molds make it really easy to pop out the finished gummies.  Top the cupcakes with the Lego men and serve!

Cupcakes and Lucas

For decorations, we built some Lego utensil holders, printed a Lego mini figure garland, and printed some brightly colored paper with a Lego brick pattern.  I used the printed paper to wrap juice boxes and packs of strawberry and mint gum.
